It's summer. We have about 3 months without homeworks, projects and assignments of any kind. I understand we need a steady paycheck, but I would really like to pursue making art an actual job (seeing as we're studying for it anyway, lol!) so I'm announcing that WE'RE OPEN FOR COMMISSIONS

We had a long talk about how to be as fair as possible without selling ourselves too short, but without being too pricey either.

So, prices are as follows:

Pencils: 15.00 and up
Inks: 20.00 and up
Color: 30.00 and up

Pencils: I normally start my pencils with blue pencil and flesh more out with red before I pencil over the final product.

Inks: We like to use different inking methods. I have pens, nibs, brushes and the like. So there's some more work involved in it.

Color: Takes more time and careful approach. At least if it's done traditionally. The last thing i want to do is screw up something I just spent days drawing and inking!

These prices are generally set for a single character without a background on an
8 1/2" x 10" piece of bristol. If there's anything more elaborate that's needed, we'd be more than happy to talk about it. You can just note us. Or comment whatever is easier, lol.

We also do (graffiti style) tags. This is actually exclusively Goth's department, but he's pretty damn good at them. These will most likely be priced on a case by case basis so again, just note us or comment here if you have any questions at all!

I wish I could say that we were super happy for it to come, but serisouly...school has had such an awesome way of destroying us that we haven't had time to let the summer break kick in. School ended tuesday but we had homework (STILL!) and didn't end up finishing until friday/saturday at 1am. Then we had the weekend to pack and get our s**t in storage and head out. Right now we're at a hotel near Memphis. Which I consider good time since we cleared almost 4 states in a day.

I've just been soooo beat I want to rest.

But! Not without thanking everyone that's viewed us for the 6000 pageview mark! Seriously, that was quite a pick-me-up for the both of us!!

We're definitely going to be filling this thing with more work now that we can do stuff that we want to now, lol!

Now that we're away from school and MN, LET THE SUMMER BEGIN!!!

This is a serious threat to anyone in the art field (i.e all of us)
This is a great dum-down by Goth that he posted on reddit:

For those who don't know what the OW bill is, in a nut shell it pretty much makes it legal to infringe upon any artists work that isn't registered($$) with regional copyright offices in the private sector. It removes the copyright that is automatically imposed on all works (your protection). Think of it this way, if you were to pitch an idea or logo to a company, they like it but you have not registered it and paid the fee for it, they can tell you "no thanks" then turn around and use it anyway. So you are mad and want to sue, but the COMPANY THAT STOLE THE WORK has decided that the most they can be sued for is $50... sound fair to you?

And it doesn't just stop there. You lose the rights to your doodles, sketchbook drawings, margin sketches...everything you've ever done in your life.

Ok so I just realized that I have done quite a bit of drawing over the last 1.5 semesters and haven't posted squat... Hmmm partly cuz a lot of it I wanted to get it colored, but time is a fleeting commodity as of late so... I'll just get them up and maybe I'll get to color them lata... Wow I AM a slacker, all this time and this is the 1st journal post I've done I think... Sad...
